REOPENING GUIDELINES & DIRECTIONS

Crossroads Church Asheville is re-opening Sunday, July 12, 11:00 am. At this point we will not be offering nursery or Crossroads Kids programming, families are encouraged to sit together.

Please Note: Reservations are required due to the seating limitations in effect at this time – please call 828-254-5519, listen to the message and then press 4 to leave your name, phone number and how many will be coming from your household. Please make your reservation no later than noon on Friday!

Please Note that face coverings are required per the mandate of the State of North Carolina. If you do not have a mask we will be providing one for you. We are also taking temperatures of everyone who enters the building, another precautionary step keeping you and your safety in mind. You are our most important priority and we are taking your care seriously.

For those not yet comfortable to be meeting with us in person, you can still participate in worship by joining us online on FACEBOOK. Join us every Sunday morning at 11:00am EST and Thursday evening at 7:00pm EST. And of course, we can’t wait to see you everyone in person!

Because of your generosity, and God’s faithfulness, we’re able to operate our finances in a way that allows us to give without hesitation in times of need and crisis. We have been able to continuously support our Crossroads family through this trying time because of your faithfulness. That’s exactly what we’re doing now and will continue to do.

Thank you for your faithfulness.

What We Can Do Spiritually

1. We are to pray for our Global Partners throughout the world. Many of our missionaries are facing perilous situations daily, not only from deadly diseases, but imminent physical harm. The Apostle Peter reminds us, “…the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings” (1Peter 5:9). Be sensitive to all who are suffering.

2. This present plight puts a drain on the emotional and psychological health of our leaders. We are to pray in earnest for our political, medical, and spiritual leaders. Paul admonishes Timothy that first of all prayers are to be made “for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity” (1 Timothy 2:2. NLT).

3. We are to have an understanding of the biblical truth ‘that we live in a fallen and broken world.’ Jesus says concerning the world we live in, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

4. We are to reassure and comfort the children and youth. This pandemic (along with the constant 24/7 media feeds, and the seemingly endless discussion) may produce an abnormal amount of anxiety and fear in the heart of the children/youth. It is difficult for adults to process, but think about how hard it is for children, and youth metabolize it! Remember that God “…comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Cor. 1:4).

5. We are to stay in faith, and never get caught up in fear. Whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Rom 14:23). Job exclaims the thing I feared came upon me (Job 3:25). It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrew 11:6). We are people full of faith and wisdom.

6. We are to trust God for protection (Psalm 91)) and his healing (Matt 8:17).  And we pray for the sick and their recovery (Mark 16:18).

7. We pray that God would stop the hand of this plague. May God’s hand and intervention move with mighty force against this evil virus.

At this time, Crossroads is joining forces with God, and we are believing for a swift remedy from this curse. May God bless and protect each of you and your families as we believe together that the “Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings" (Mal. 4:2).
